Today we will take a detailed look at the “Pasito killer” – a new multifunctional AIO device with the ability to service yourself, the Knight 80, from the famous Chinese manufacturer Smoant.
Smoant Knight 80 – Smoant Pasito killer
Smoant Pasito Pod VS Smoant Knight 80The Smoant company, by all means, cannot be called a bold experimenter or innovator in the field of vaping; the entire portfolio of the Chinese consists mostly of devices that represent variations or compilations of current trends that already exist on the market. But this is precisely why we love this manufacturer, ready to present its developments that are both attractive and well-assembled and thought out, and also at an adequate price, and not at the cost of a Boeing wing. e-cigarettes online boutique in canada The successor of Cloupor, which has long and firmly settled on the shelves of domestic vape shops, once again successfully declared itself last year with the Pasito “box”, which was more of a budget “fantasy on the theme” of Lost Vape Orion than a truly unique device. And although “Pasito” could not boast of stabilized wood inserts and the cost of a fully functional box mod on DNA, it did offer a serviceable base, which “Orion” did not have at that time. Which, together with the low cost, brought it recognition and love of many domestic vapers. At the same time, the manufacturer did not forget about lovers of small pods, releasing Karat, Battlestar Baby and Charon Baby, simple but nice Pods in their classic form for users who are undemanding to functionality. A month ago, Smoant presented another new product aimed at fans of the recently popular podmod/modpod format – devices that use a full-fledged board, like in classic adjustable electronic mods (mod), but without a 510 connector, but with its own connector and an atomizer in the form of a replaceable cartridge (pod). Some reviewers have already managed (I don’t know whether it was at the suggestion and recommendation of Smoant themselves, or guided by some logic of their own) to dub the Knight 80 “the Pasito killer”, but even a cursory acquaintance with the “Knight” is enough to understand that there is practically nothing in common between them.
Smoant Knight 80 Packaging
The device comes into your hands in a fairly large square box, on the front side of which the Knight 80 is shown off in its original design. In addition to the illustration on the package, you can see the Smoant “ants” logo, the name of the device, on the back side a list of the kit, a mark with the name of the design (I had Stainless Steel in my hands), the manufacturer’s details and a sticker with a verification code (Smoant check security code) under a scratch-off layer, which must be entered on a special page of the manufacturer’s website. Under the drain and the lid inside the box, diagonally, there is a device with a single cartridge and an already installed evaporator, the second replacement can be found in one of the corners, in the second, a USB Type-C cable is hidden.

Impressions
Undoubtedly, Smoant has once again created a very interesting device, despite some objective and purely subjective shortcomings. The first complaint I would make is the indecently large size and weight of the Knight 80, the device is quite comparable not only to some AIO devices, but at the same time it is larger than any pod or even mod pod, and even many classic box mods. However, if we talk about boxes, we should also add an atomizer to their height. Naturally, the reason for such gigantism is the replaceable 18650 battery, which gives the device decent autonomy and huge (for this class) power. If Smoant had released a similar device with a built-in battery, it would probably have been much smaller. The second point that I want to find fault with is the design of the cartridge and the tightening adjustment system. Knight 80 is more about the sub-ohm and large clouds of steam, and the complete evaporators on the mesh are the most obvious confirmation of this. Therefore, comparing it with Pasito is at least pointless, except for the overlapping (and that is conditional) design and the same developer, these two devices have nothing in common. However, if you want to use RBA or Pasito evaporators here, you can try to get a long-lasting and truly cigarette setup. In addition, the device has the potential to turn into a full-fledged stick, which is currently in short supply on the market. But this will only be possible if an adapter with a full 510 connector appears. Otherwise, this is a well-assembled, nice-looking modpod or simply an “all-in-one” that can please its owner.
