Review of IPV5 by Pioneer4You

Pioneer4You have finally reached 200 watts. In fact, it’s very strange that it took them so long to get there, all the main competitors have already got 200 watt devices long ago, and Pioneers were at the end of the list for some reason. Today we will tell you about their new device IPV5 on YiHi board.

There is nothing to tell about the design, it is completely copied from IPV D2 and D3, except that they increased the size proportionally, lately more and more manufacturers stick to monotonous design of their devices, changing only the size, hackers. The mod is available in black and silver colors. But there is a plus in the design, the manufacturer offered the opportunity to put their engraving on the body, which will be a definite plus. The dimensions of the box mod are as follows: 100x60x25 mm, the weight of the box mod without the battery is 215 grams.

Everything is very boring with the appearance, so let’s get to the technical part. As we mentioned at the beginning of the review, the board in the box mod from YiHi, namely SX330-200 and has the following characteristics:

Adjustable power range in varivatt mode 10-200 W, in varivolt mode 1-7 V with maximum output current 45 A

Supported resistance of atomizer in varivatt mode 0.15-3 ohm, in thermocontrol mode 0.05-1.5 ohm with temperature limitation 212-572 degrees Fahrenheit or 93-315 Celsius. canadian vape shop montreal For me personally, the 0.15 ohm threshold in varivatt mode is too high, I don’t use windings higher than 0.1-0.12 ohm. This factor is clearly not in favor of the box mod.

The box mod has a micro-usb connector, but it serves only for firmware updates, there is no possibility to charge the battery through it.

As always, let’s touch upon the topic of 200 watt box mods on two 18650 batteries, will it be able to deliver 200 watts? As experience suggests most likely not and its bar will be exactly the same as all similar mods in 160-170 watts, but it will be possible to find out only after the tests.
