In this review, I will tell you about the Dolores bog oak vape pipe for the 18350 battery by Old Mods.
Packaging and equipment of the Dolores by Old Mod
The device itself does not have a set. Probably, only the suede bag can be called “complete”. The device arrived to me neatly wrapped in bubble wrap, and everything that you see in the photo above except for the pipe itself can be ordered from the master separately. Including the mouthpiece, which will be made based on the size and features of the drip tip fit on your atomizer so that the parts do not look alien, but organically form a single whole. My copy was made for Kayfun lite, which I decided to “make friends” with my Dolores. But, as you can see from the images below, this option looks great on other atomizers.
The same goes for the stand. You can easily ignore it and not order it, and keep the pipe either in a desk drawer or in the included bag. nicotine liquide pure canada Or try to adapt something from the store’s consumer goods – in specialized tobacco shops you can find a variety of accessories for storing pipes. But in my opinion, such a beauty should be kept in a visible place in a holder that matches the overall style. Therefore, I could not resist and asked the master not only for a mouthpiece, but also for such a wonderful stand. Moreover, it holds the setup perfectly, even if your atomizer is large and noticeably outweighs, as, for example, in the case of the Brunhilde MTL RTA.
Due to the chosen length, the drip tip not only cools the vapor perfectly (especially when it comes to MTL devices, for which the Dolores is primarily intended), but also perfectly completes the overall look of the setup, bringing its visuals as close as possible to an “analog” pipe. In my opinion, any comments or descriptions here are simply unnecessary; everything looks not only stunningly beautiful, but also organic.
The only thing that gnaws at me is the thought that it would have been worth asking the master to make the stand a little wider and with an additional hole in which you could store the mouthpiece – it has a standard 510 drip tip fit.
Another example, but with a different tank – Dead Rabbit MTL RTA from Hellvape, which has a diameter of 22.5 mm at the fit. If you want the tube to have a connector of a different size, you need to discuss this with the master. It is necessary to take into account that all proportions are adjusted, so any change in any size will “pull” the rest of the dimensions. That is, with a larger diameter of the shank, its length will increase, and then the size of the bowl, so that everything looks organic. In short, from the words of the Old Mods master: “If you make the bowl proportionally to the shank, the pipe will be unreasonably large when using an 18350 battery. In small products, every 0.1 mm is of great importance. Or make it for 18500.” So keep this in mind if you want to order a different fit. In general, Old Mods has ready-made options that have already been tried and tested “on people”. A year ago, when I ordered my pipe, there were only three of them. Today, the choice is much larger, including those for 18650 batteries and even with a DNA board. But I chose just one that would maximally replicate the classic tobacco pipe, and at the same time be small and beautiful. Dolores by Old Mod characteristics

My Dolores is made of bog oak, with a texture of brushed (I think that’s what it’s called) wood. And although in the pictures the surface of the device seems chipped, in reality it is polished and feels almost smooth with a pleasant relief. At the top, inside the bowl, there is the only control element – a button.
Impressions
The first thing you should understand and accept is that any pipe, although a damn attractive device, can hardly be called an “everyday device”, and even more so as the only one. To get dirty, to touch with dirty hands, to drop and break – it’s not a tricky business. Rather, it’s a second or even for “beauty”. For everyday use, some kind of pod or a setup of a small battery mod and a tank is more suitable. But it’s simply a pity to carry such beauty in your pocket and risk it every day. Although I can’t say that Dolores is not at all adapted to this. Everything in it works as it should, it doesn’t cause any problems, and learning to monitor the battery discharge “by feel”, i.e. by the amount of steam produced, will not be a problem. On the other hand, if you don’t vape like a steam engine, never letting go of your device for a minute, like me, and don’t treat vaping like smoking cigarettes, but rather like smoking a pipe – with rare smoke breaks every few hours – forget everything I wrote a little earlier. The device will definitely suit you even as the only one.
As for the cost and possible design options, it is best to contact a specialist for this information. And also see what other devices the author of my Dolores has already made. Well, and maybe you’ll find something for yourself. Pipes are even rarer these days than classic mechanics.
