One of the mastodons on the vaping market can safely consider the company Voopoo, the products of which every vaper knows. After the triumphant march of the Drag family and X217 the company has not stopped, and decided to hold a kind of reincarnation of his box mod, released a couple of years ago – Voopoo ALPHA. The new device is presented as a starter kit – Voopoo ALPHA Zip Mini kit, which immediately after viewing the specifications raises a mixed opinion. On the one hand a stylish device with a new tank, and on the other hand the built-in battery. But the fact remains – Voopoo ALPHA Zip Mini kit is unlikely to become as popular as Drag 2 or Drag Mini, but it will definitely find its buyer.

Voopoo ALPHA Zip Mini kit is a starter kit that consists of a box mod with built-in battery and GENE.Fit chipset and a new Voopoo MAAT Tank atomizer that runs on interchangeable vaporizers. The box mod is made by analogy with its predecessor it is angular, but quite ergonomic. The presence of the built-in battery can scare someone, but thanks to him the dimensions of the device are reduced. The decision to equip the mod with a proprietary board is not a coincidence it has proven itself with positive results on other devices. The new Voopoo MAAT Tank atomizer has an updated design with the ability to quickly replace specially designed for it vaporizers on the grid and regular coil. This starter kit is not in monochrome or resin colors, but in interesting colors Locomotive, Knight, Glory, Stars and Checkerboard.

ALPHA Zip Box Mod
Vapers who follow the activities of the company Voopoo, know that a couple of years ago she released a box mod ALPHA, which for several objective reasons has not become popular and in demand among users. The decision to resume the release of this series, but in an updated version may seem strange, but the new box mod Voopoo ALPHA Zip will interest many. Externally it resembles both the first Alpha and Drag at the same time it has no rounded corners and edges, and they are deliberately sharp. Naturally, if you squeeze the mod very hard in the palm of your hand, there will be quite unpleasant sensations, but not much discomfort.
The company Voopoo finally decided not to use a slightly tiresome resin for the design of ALPHA Zip, replacing it with bright drawings, which somewhat enliven the device. The diameter of the box-mod is 25 mm, so when choosing atomizers this should be taken into account. The power of 180 Watts is provided by a built-in non-removable battery with a capacity of 4400 mAh, which is quite enough for autonomous work for a day. The battery is charged using the micro-USB connector located on the side edge of the device.
The fact that the new device uses the GENE.Fit chipset does not raise any questions, because in recent times in Whoopu it is one of the most successful chipsets. There is not much to say about it, as everyone is already well aware of the capabilities and functionalities of the board. Naturally, it picks up windings from 0.05 ohms and allows you to use the device in several modes, including automatic determination of the optimal power depending on the resistance of the coil. Voopoo ALPHA Zip is equipped with a small monochrome display where you can control all the standard parameters of the device.
MAAT Tank Atomizer
Not so long ago Voopoo presented their new atomizer MAAT Tank, which immediately interested fans of replacement vaporizer tanks. Despite the relatively small tank volume of 2 or 4 ml, the tank is interesting because the vaporizers do not need to be screwed into the base they are provided with endings, so they are simply inserted, making the replacement process as simple and fast as possible.
The manufacturer offers three variants of MT series vaporizers, and two of them use mesh and one uses three standard coils. The vaporizers are designed to maximize the vaper’s enjoyment of flavor and bulk.
The blowing system, proudly called Middle adjustable airflow design, is quite interesting. The peculiarity of this blowing system is that after the air intake through the holes, it enters the chamber from which it is fed to the coil. If you believe the manufacturer, this design will make the taste brighter and richer.
MAAT Tank filling will not surprise anyone, because it is implemented as standard, the top cap is pushed back in a straight line, opening a large enough opening for you to easily pour the liquid in the tank.
Conclusions and impressions
Voopoo ALPHA Zip Mini kit is quite an interesting starter kit, which may or may not like a vaper, as there are a few issues with it. If you put aside the point with the built-in battery, the device is very productive and with a reliable board, and the tank is a classic unserviced with several options of vaporizers, capable of giving a great taste and bulk.
