Review of Chronus Kit and Shikra Kit from Sigelei

Review of Chronus Kit and Shikra Kit from Sigelei

Posted on 30 August 202315 April 2025

Sigelei’s most famous product is the 213 Fuchai, which is still as relevant as ever (tens of thousands of vapers successfully use it). But it doesn’t mean that the company has stopped developing and is just resting on its laurels – with enviable regularity it releases new devices, some of which are successfully sold, and some of which settle down as dead weight in vape shops. In order to bring back the former glory, Sigelei marketers and developers decided to release two very similar starter kits Chronus Kit and Shikra Kit, which are made in almost the same design, but slightly different in functionality. Even on the official website of the manufacturer these box mods with maintenance-free tanks are presented on the same page. It is difficult to say that these devices will be a 100% hit yet, as the presentation was just the other day, and they will go on sale in the next few weeks. It does not make sense to consider these devices separately yet, as the review will differ only in two or three sentences.

General information about the kits

Chronus Kit and Shikra Kit are two starter kits for vapers who are looking for something new, original and productive. vape devices in canada The difference between Chronus and Shikra is that the first model is not designed for firmware upgrades, while the second model allows for firmware upgrades and is equipped with additional features. These are two standard box mods, designed for the most comfortable vaping by experienced and not so experienced vapers. The kits are equipped with approximately the same atomizers running on the same interchangeable vaporizers. There are a lot of colors in which you can find these devices – Chronus Kit is made in ten colors, and Shikra Kit in seven, and most of the colors are non-standard and original.

Completion

Both kits are happy with their kits, differing only in box mods and atomizers, so you can find in the boxes:

Chronus/Shikra box mod;

Chronus/Shikra atomizer with pre-installed 0.2 ohm vaporizer and 5.5 ml bubble-glass;

Spare regular glass;

Replacement MS series vaporizer with 0.25 ohm resistance;

Oring kit;

USB cable;

Documentation user manual, warranty card, certificate of originality.

Nothing supernatural, but everything you need for comfortable vaping and minimal maintenance.

Chronus/Shikra box mods

Recently, Sigelei has clearly renewed their design staff, as all the latest products have a somewhat futuristic and cosmic design, which immediately attracts attention. Chronus and Shikra are obvious representatives of the new generation of box mods, which with their design show that the designers are not adherents of classic forms. At first glance the devices are a bit angular, but just take them in your hand, it becomes clear that everything is fine with ergonomics in your hand, they sit like inline, the fire button is conveniently located at the top of the side.

Chronus and Shikra are made of zinc alloy/aluminum and zinc alloy/stainless steel respectively. Naturally, Shikra is a bit heavier, but that doesn’t make it uncomfortable to use. The size of the devices is such that atomizers up to 30mm in diameter can be mounted on them without much difficulty. Power is provided by two traditional 18650 batteries, which are installed from the bottom with the help of a hinged lid. The power of both devices can reach 200 watts, and the minimum resistance of the spirals can be from 0.05 Ohm, which many will appreciate.

In the center of Chronus/Shikra there is a rather large color display, made in the form of a speedometer, where the arrow shows the current power.

One of the significant differences between Chronus and Shikra is the use of different boards, and in the first device it is without the possibility of flashing, and in the second it can be re-flashed using a USB cable. If we talk about the modes of operation, they are varivatt, TC, TCR, and Shikra also has TFR. The control with the help of a five-position joystick located under the display is quite original.

Chronus/Shikra atomizer

Complete atomizers Chronus and Shikra are identical in their technical characteristics, the only difference is the design. As with other manufacturers, the tanks offered by Sigelei operate on maintenance-free vaporizers, and the company’s MS series with 0.2 and 0.25 ohm resistance is used.

If you wish, you can choose from five glass options that vary in design and volume. To refill the liquid you need to unscrew the top-cap and pour 5.5 ml of liquid into a rather large hole. The blowing is, naturally, bottom, adjustable. In general, atomizers allow you to get a good flavor transfer and bulk when using 60-80 watts of power.

Impressions and conclusions

It’s still hard to say whether the new Sigelei products will take root in the domestic market, as the original design and sufficient level of performance may hide pitfalls that the manufacturer keeps silent about. But if a vaper is looking for bright, slightly non-standard devices, which are productive and functional, he should pay attention to Chronus and Shikra.

Advantages and disadvantages

Disadvantages
